Sarajevo

Good to know: Wear comfortable shoes — the old town is cobbled and the viewpoints involve a short climb.

Highlands & Neretva Loop

Mountain villages, farms and rafting country

Lukomir

Bosnia's highest and oldest surviving mountain village, on the rim of the Rakitnica canyon at 1,469m.

Time needed: One day
Best for: Adventure, highland landscapes and traditional village life

Good to know: Only reachable by 4x4, so the 4x4 experience is added automatically. Pack a jacket — it's cool even in August.

Konjic

Neretva river town famed for its Ottoman bridge, woodcarving workshops and Tito's secret nuclear bunker.

Time needed: One day
Best for: Adventure seekers and Cold War history

Good to know: Bunker tours run to fixed timings — tell us early if it's a must so we can book the slot.

Central Royal Loop

Ottoman towns and waterfalls of the Vrbas valley

Kakanj Farm

A day with the Malak family on their countryside farm — animals, home cooking and Bosnian hospitality.

Time needed: One day
Best for: Families, children and anyone wanting real village life

Good to know: The most child-friendly day in our programme — horse riding is a short guided ride, ideal for beginners.

Travnik

The Vizier's town: a medieval fortress, a rare painted mosque and Bosnia's most famous literary heritage.

Time needed: Half day (paired with Jajce)
Best for: Ottoman heritage and slow-town charm

Good to know: Try Travnik cheese and traditional ćevapi at Plava Voda before driving on to Jajce.

Jajce

A medieval royal town built around a 20-metre waterfall that crashes right through the centre.

Time needed: Half day (paired with Travnik)
Best for: Waterfalls, castles and dramatic photos

Eastern Memorial Loop

Reflective, guided history days

Srebrenica

A reflective, guided day at the Potočari Memorial — the most important history day of any Bosnia journey.

Time needed: One day
Best for: Guests who want to understand modern Bosnia

Herzegovina Loop

Stone towns, turquoise rivers, warm south

Mostar

Bosnia's most photographed town: the rebuilt Stari Most arching over the emerald Neretva, with divers, bazaars and stone lanes.

Good to know: Your Mostar day includes any two of Blagaj, Počitelj and Kravice — pick them in step 3 of the builder.

Blagaj

A 600-year-old dervish house built into a cliff where the Buna river bursts out of the rock.

Time needed: Half day with Mostar
Best for: Serenity, spiritual heritage and riverside lunches

Good to know: Modest dress is required inside the tekke; scarves are available at the entrance.

Počitelj

An Ottoman hillside village of stone houses, pomegranate trees and a fortress with a valley-wide view.

Time needed: 1–2 hours with Mostar
Best for: Architecture lovers and unhurried photo stops

Good to know: It's a steep, stepped climb to the tower — worth it, but take water in summer.

Kravice

A 25-metre-wide horseshoe of waterfalls dropping into a swimmable turquoise pool.

Time needed: 2–3 hours with Mostar
Best for: Swimming, picnics and families

Good to know: Bring swimwear and a towel between May and September — the water is cold but glorious.

North-West Frontier

Una river country — the longest drive from Sarajevo

Bihać

Una National Park country in the far north-west: white-water rapids, waterfalls and forested canyons.

Time needed: One to two days
Best for: Nature, rafting and adventurous groups
