Day-by-day itinerary

1Day 1 — Arrival & Baščaršija Welcome

Land in Sarajevo, drop bags at the hotel, and meet the city that has called the adhan for five centuries.

  • Group transfer from Sarajevo International Airport to your hotel
  • Guided evening walk through Baščaršija — the Sebilj fountain, coppersmiths' alley and the old bazaar
  • Maghrib at Gazi Husrev-bey Mosque, the heart of Ottoman Sarajevo since 1531
  • Welcome dinner — ćevapi, somun bread and Bosnian coffee, all halal

Every restaurant on this trip is halal, and prayer times are built into the daily schedule.

2Day 2 — Sarajevo Deep Dive & Cable Car

A full day in the city: its Ottoman roots, its recent history, and the best view in the country.

  • Morning city tour: Gazi Husrev-bey's waqf, the bezistan, the Latin Bridge and the meeting of cultures
  • Tunnel of Hope museum — the lifeline dug under the runway during the siege (entry included)
  • Trebević cable car to the pine forests and panoramic ridge above the city (ticket included)
  • Free evening for the bazaar — try burek and tufahija with the group

3Day 3 — Mostar, Konjic & Blagaj

The signature one-day Mostar tour, with Konjic and the Jablanica lake road on the way south.

  • Konjic: the 17th-century Ottoman stone bridge over the emerald Neretva
  • Boat ride on Jablanica Lake between the mountains (included)
  • Blagaj Tekke — the 600-year-old dervish lodge at the source of the Buna river
  • Mostar: Stari Most, Koski Mehmed Pasha Mosque, the Crooked Bridge and the panoramic viewpoint (entry included)

Dhuhr at the Koski Mehmed Pasha Mosque, whose minaret gives the classic view of Stari Most.

4Day 4 — Kravice Waterfalls & Neretva Rafting

The big adventure day — the one your group chat will still be posting about at graduation.

  • Morning at Kravice: a 25-metre curtain of waterfalls you can swim beneath
  • Rafting down the Neretva canyon with certified skippers, lunch by the river included (June–October)
  • Prayer stops scheduled around the activities — wudu facilities at the rafting base
  • Group BBQ dinner back in Sarajevo

Travelling between November and May? The rafting day swaps to a guided highland hike at no extra cost.

5Day 5 — Vrelo Bosne & Free Afternoon

A slower day at the spring of the Bosna river, then time for souq shopping and society photos.

  • Vrelo Bosne: horse-drawn carriage along the tree-lined avenue to the spring (entry included)
  • Optional group circle: short halaqah and reflection session in the park
  • Free afternoon — copper souvenirs, Islamic art galleries and the best burek in Baščaršija
  • Jumu'ah-style farewell dinner with the group (on Friday trips, Jumu'ah at Gazi Husrev-bey Mosque)

6Day 6 — Last Morning & Departure

One last Bosnian coffee together before the flight home.

  • Free morning for the Gazi Husrev-bey library, Baščaršija's copper lanes or last-minute shopping
  • Group transfer to Sarajevo International Airport
