Day-by-day itinerary

1Day 1 — Arrival & Baščaršija

The congregation lands in Sarajevo, settles into the hotel, and gathers for a first evening in the old town.

  • Private group transfer from Sarajevo International Airport to your hotel
  • Early-evening walk through Baščaršija — the Sebilj fountain, coppersmiths' lane and the Gazi Husrev-bey complex
  • Isha at the Gazi Husrev-bey Mosque, the heart of Sarajevo's old town since 1530
  • Welcome group dinner of Bosnian favourites — all meals halal throughout the trip

Prayer times shape every day of this journey — your guide plans around them, never against them.

2Day 2 — Sarajevo — City of Mosques

A full day in the city they call the Jerusalem of Europe, led by your guide with the imam alongside.

  • Guided old-town tour: the Gazi Husrev-bey library, the bezistan bazaars and the Emperor's Mosque
  • Tunnel of Hope museum — the story of the siege, told with care (entry included)
  • Vrelo Bosne: the spring of the River Bosna beneath Mount Igman (entry included)
  • Trebević cable car at golden hour for the panoramic view over the valley (tickets included)

The evening is kept free for the imam to hold a short halaqah back at the hotel for anyone who wishes to join.

3Day 3 — Konjic, Jablanica & Mostar

The signature one-day Mostar tour — Konjic and the Jablanica lake road are part of it by default.

  • Konjic: the 17th-century Ottoman stone bridge over the emerald Neretva
  • Boat ride on Jablanica Lake between the mountains (included)
  • Mostar: Stari Most, the old bazaar and the panoramic viewpoint (entry included)
  • Prayer and reflection at the Koski Mehmed Pasha Mosque beside the river

Regular breaks on the drive south, with prayer stops planned in advance.

4Day 4 — Blagaj Tekke

The most peaceful day of the journey — the 600-year-old dervish lodge at the source of the Buna.

  • Blagaj Tekke: the Ottoman dervish lodge beneath the cliff, where the Buna river springs from the rock
  • Time for quiet reflection and prayer in the tekke's prayer room overlooking the water
  • Lunch by the Buna river at a halal riverside restaurant
  • Gentle afternoon in the village, then the unhurried drive back to Sarajevo

Many groups tell us Blagaj is the moment the journey becomes something more than a holiday.

5Day 5 — Travnik — Town of Viziers

Into central Bosnia to the Ottoman capital of viziers, its colourful mosque and hilltop fortress.

  • Travnik: the medieval fortress above the town and the birthplace of Nobel laureate Ivo Andrić
  • The Šarena Džamija — the 'Colourful Mosque' with its painted wooden gallery
  • Travnik ćevapi lunch — the town is famous across Bosnia for it
  • Farewell group dinner back in Sarajevo, with time for the imam's closing reminders

6Day 6 — Last Morning & Departure

A slow breakfast, one last Bosnian coffee, and a smooth transfer home.

  • Free morning for last-minute copper souvenirs and one more walk through Baščaršija
  • Private group transfer to Sarajevo International Airport, timed to your flight

Larger congregation or a longer journey? Add extra nights at £100 per person and we rebuild the itinerary around your group.
